TSM Reveals New Roster for 2018 Season

Team SoloMid had a disappointing finish at Worlds this year but wasted no time in making changes to up its chances next time around. TSM recently announced their full roster for the 2018 season in which Mike “Mike Yeung” Yeung replaced Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen in the jungle and Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen and Alfonso “mithy” Aguirre Roderiguez will hold down the botlane.

While the loss of Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng might have been cause for alarm for TSM fans, TSM’s acquisition of Zven is a huge upgrade. Zven was one of the key parts of G2 Esports’ dominance in the EU LCS, and his presence on TSM will guarantee that they still have a skilled ADC player on which to fall be.

The fact that they acquired Zven’s botlane partner mithy at the same time is even better, as they won’t have to waste time waiting for the duo to develop synergy.

Mike Yeung replacing Svenskeren is a bit more of a risky proposition. Svenskeren wasn’t necessarily the most skilled jungler in the world, but he did what he needed to do to help TSM win and had plenty of experience to boot. Mike Yeung is a mechanically gifted player, but he has only played one professional split so far. If he can acclimate quickly to playing with the best team in North America, he may be a straight upgrade.

Season 8 is still a few months out, but TSM is already looking to be a strong contender for another NA LCS championship title.
