Team Liquid Obtains Doublelift’s Contract for 2018 Season

Following reports that TSM would sign former G2 bot-lane duo Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen and Alfonso “Mithy” Aguierre Rodriguez, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng is headed back to Team Liquid for the newly franchised 2018 season.

Doublelift, whose contract with TSM doesn’t expire until 2019, first played with Team Liquid this past May, being loaned from TSM to help the team avoid relegation from NA LCS, and marking the end of his hiatus from professional play. Team Liquid is rumored to be testing out two other supports for Doublelift besides Matt “Matt” Elento.

Team Liquid has made waves already this offseason, purchasing the contracts for former Immortals players Jake “Xmithie” Puchero, Andy “AnDa” Hoang, Eugene “Pobelter” Park, as well as reportedly working to sign former world champion and Cloud9 toplaner Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong.

The news comes just one day after Riot officially introduced the 2018 NA LCS franchises.
