Saksa Replaces Misery in OpTiC

OpTiC gaming added a Dota 2 team for the first time in their history this year, and there was a lot of hype around the new formed team that got picked up by the big brand team of OpTiC.

OpTiC has been a big name in the esports industry with one of the largest fan bases.

Yesterday, their support player Rasmus “Misery” Filipsen left the team (he was not kicked). The details of his departure were first announced by the team captain PPD on his stream .

Immediately, the NA team picked up the 2016 TI runner up Martin “Saksa” Sazdov from Macedonia.

After the disband of Team Digital Chaos, Saksa joined w33 in Mid or Feed, but shortly after, he left it because he wanted to take a small break.

This is the official statement from OpTiC about Saksa’s arrival:

“The OpTic Dota 2 roster is thrilled to announce the addition of Martin “Saksa” Sazdov as a full time stand in at the 4 position support role for the remainder of 2017. Rasmus “MISERY” Filipsen will no longer be rostered for OpTic Gaming’s Dota 2 division.

As part of this current roster, members of the Dota 2 team have shown great promise and potential in the North American region. The team has qualified for The Summit 8 and ASUS ROG MASTERS events upcoming in December while having just recently won the MoonduckTV Midas Mode event this last week. Moving forward, the roster will be looking to build on these successes to further cement itself as a contender in any event which it is competing. Change is something that hardly comes with without difficult decisions, and we feel that the departure of Rasmus from our roster not only provides Rasmus a chance to seek other opportunities but more importantly gives us the potential to improve and grow as a team.”

We wish the best of luck to Misery in his future, and also a warm welcome to Saksa that returned to the competitive scene after a short break, and of course, some godly plays with his popular Winter Wyvern that has been a popular pick this patch.

Get em boy !
